Construction firm Skanska has named Tracy Hunt, a company leader for almost three decades, as executive vice-president and general manager, overseeing the organization’s building and construction operations for the state of Florida.
Hunt’s career includes managing several prominent projects in the state, including the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute, the transformative Coachman Park in Clearwater, and the Lee Health Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers.
He has 28 years of experience in the construction industry, most recently serving as senior vice-president and account manager for Skanska in Florida, a role he has held since 2018. In addition to his work in the industry, he leads Skanska’s partnership with the University of South Florida’s mentoring program, which is designed to support the Tampa Bay region’s diversely owned small businesses in the construction industry.
The executive also serves as a board member at Carrollwood Day School, volunteers for Metropolitan Ministries, and graduated with the 2022 class of Leadership Tampa.
Hunt is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology (GT), where he earned a bachelor of science in civil engineering.
“Having spent my entire career at Skanska, I know the impact we can have when we work together to shape society and create opportunities for each other, our clients, partners, and communities,” says Hunt. “As general manager, I remain committed to achieving our corporate goals, fostering a culture of collective success, and building enduring partnerships that make our communities better.”
