The 20,996-m2 (226,000-sf) six-story renovation project at the C Concourse Expansion at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) recently completed the steel topping out, marking the end of vertical construction.

The expansion adds four levels to the existing building and enhances the passenger experience.

The upper floors will include expanded dining and retail options, additional seating, and a 120.7-m2 (1,300-sf) extension to the passenger waiting area. Other features include a rooftop photovoltaic (PV) array, a meditation room, a nursing room, and two airfield observation decks.
While it initially aimed for LEED Silver certification, the project is on track to attain LEED Gold, showcasing its innovative use of energy-efficient systems and sustainable features.

It is scheduled for substantial completion in 2026.
