Architecture firm celebrates 50 years with two new partners

Architectural firm AO is marking its 50th anniversary with an expansion of its leadership team, welcoming two accomplished professionals, Ruba Awad-Moran and Paolo Leon, as new partners.

This move comes as AO continues to evolve and diversify its portfolio, expanding its influence across modular design, hospitality, interior design, and master planning.

Ruba Awad-Moran, a LEED AP, brings more than 27 years of experience as an architectural and interior designer. As a partner in AO’s interiors studio, she has gained recognition for her collaboration, foresight, and adept management of design and budget. Notable projects under her belt include Starbucks flagship stores t Downtown Disney in Anaheim, Calif., and Orlando, Fla., as well as Ramsay’s Kitchen in Las Vegas, Nev.

Paolo Leon, AIA, NCARB, with more than a decade of architectural expertise at AO, steps into the role of at AO. His leadership and insight have contributed to successful projects such as Alamo Street Apartments, the multifamily podium development in Simi Valley, The Market Place Apartments in Irvine, Calif., and residences at Rio 2100 in Tempe, Ariz. Beyond AO, Leon serves as the president of AIA Orange County chapter and as a board member of AIA California Council.

AO’s managing partner, Rob Budetti, expressed confidence in the abilities of the new partners, emphasizing their alignment with the firm’s core values and dedication to delivering exceptional client service.
