BLOCKSEAL® is a water-based, waterproof liquid flashing that seals a variety of window and door substrates. It is one of the few liquid flashing products to meet and exceed AAMA 714-22, Specification for Liquid Applied Flashing Used to Create a Water-Resistive Seal Around Exterior Wall Openings in Buildings.
BLOCKSEAL® is a low-VOC, fast-drying acrylic adhesive that keeps moisture from penetrating door and window openings beneath a structure’s exterior façade. Its high resin content provides excellent adhesion to the substrate, eliminating any possibility of moisture penetration.
It can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces, including weathered wood, shakes, plywood, clapboard, primed metal, galvanized metal, urethane, polyester, adobe, brick, stucco, masonry, slate, and slab. It also can be installed on concrete, including green concrete that has set but has not appreciably hardened.
BLOCKSEAL® is the latest innovation to come from APV Engineered Coatings, a company that offers advanced coatings technologies, custom equipment engineering, contract manufacturing and global product distribution. Unlike some other suppliers of liquid flashing products, APV’s lean, responsive manufacturing and distribution capabilities allow it to supply BLOCKSEAL® with lead times that are half of others in the market.
