CSI: Verrastro to become Distinguished Member, six new Fellows announced

Salvatore Verrastro, FCSI, CCS, CCCA, will be elevated to Distinguished Membership—CSI’s most prestigious honor—at CONSTRUCT & the CSI Annual Convention[2]. The association also announced six new Fellows for the event in St. Louis, Missouri.

Verrastro is vice president and director with Spillman Farmer Architects, having been with the Bethlehem, Pennsylvania-based firm for more than 30 years. He has worked on education projects, commercial buildings, medical facilities, and houses of worship. A roofing consultant, Verrastro has chaired both CSI’s national Education and Specification Competition committees, as well as the American Institute of Architect’s (AIA’s) MasterSpec Architectural Review Committee.

Also at CONSTRUCT, a half-dozen members will join the ranks of CSI Fellows, having been chosen for their notable contributions to the advancement of construction technology, specifications, or education, or by service to the institute. The six new Fellows are:

• David A. Bishton, RA, CSI, CCS, CCCA (Denver Chapter);
• George A. Everding, CSI, CCS, CCCA (Greater St. Louis Chapter);
• Holly Jordan, CSI, CCS (Houston Chapter);
• Jimmy W. Lail, Jr., CSI (Chattanooga Chapter);
• Floyd B. Sterling, CSI, CDT (Shreveport Chapter); and
• M. Keith West, CSI, CCPR (Mississippi Chapter).

On Wednesday, September 30 at 6:30 p.m., the CSI Fellowship Induction Ceremony[3] will be held at the America’s Center (pre-registration is required for this free event). It will be followed by a celebration at the Renaissance Hotel (pre-registration and fee required).
