Texas-based architect Otto Kramer originally designed the Pearl Stable in the 1800s. Now, the 128-year-old, 2,003-m2 (21,563-sf) stable has been reimagined as a music venue.

The front pediment and cupola were removed in the 1940s. In 1950, the second floor was also removed, and additional renovations converted the stable into an event venue.

The hammered limestone floors and plaster and original brick walls welcome patrons into the lobby space. Column details and chandeliers in the lobby remain from an earlier renovation and lend to the history of the building.

In the performance space, new forest green walls, velvet curtains, hand-painted landscape murals, and brass accents create an intimate space for performances. The original wood ceiling has been preserved.

Considered one of the oldest buildings in San Antonio, Stable Hall amplifies the Texas music scene and celebrates the spirit of coming together.
