Kanye West’s dome-shaped housing prototypes in Calabasas, California, have been demolished for violating the building code of the Los Angeles county.

The domes were inspired by Luke Skywalker’s childhood home. West worked with a team to design the prefabricated structures with the goal of using them as low-income housing units, Forbes reported.

Three out of the four prototypes located in the wooded area at West’s 121-ha (300-acre) residence were demolished, and the fourth will soon see the same fate, TMZ reports. West did not get the proper permits to build them.

As per TMZ, a state inspector came by twice to see the structures after receiving noise complaints from neighbors. Additionally, the construction crews were working on weekends when they should not have been. The inspector said a different type of permit was needed as the concrete bases were more permanent rather than temporary.
