Landscape architects interested in connecting with other industry professionals can now do so by registering for the American Society of Landscape Architects[2] (ASLA) 2017 Annual Meeting and Expo[3]. Running October 20 to 23 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the meeting will bring together an anticipated more than 6000 attendees.
“This year will be the first time ASLA has hosted the annual meeting in Los Angeles since 1996,” said Duane Border, ASLA, president of the Southern California ASLA Chapter. “We’re definitely planning on showcasing this city’s incredible landscape legacy to professional colleagues from across the country and all over the world.”
“It’s going to be a fantastic annual meeting,” said Vaughn B. Rinner, FASLA, the society’s president. “People will discover new connections, ideas, and projects that will stretch their imaginations, and they will definitely be recharged for their creative work.”
Rinner goes on to outline the theme of this year’s meeting: Common Ground. The theme was chosen in recognition of landscape architects’ contributions to the creation of common areas such as streets, parks, markets, and gardens.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to grow their skills with the event’s more than 130 sessions and workshops, which offer professional development hours from organizations including:
More than 350 exhibitors will also take part in the expo. Professionals can register for the event online[4].
