The new Flathead County ImagineIF Library in Bigfork, Mont., is now a former church recreation hall connecting people to resources, technology, and opportunities for lifelong education.

The former 557 m2 (6,000 sf) space is funded by the ImagineIF Library Foundation. In addition to reworking the interior, the design by Cushing Terrell will also include a new entry sequence, windows, and exterior finishes.

Programmatic spaces will include a large, flexible space to accommodate events and multiple meeting rooms. The communal outdoor areas and reworked parking space will also be a part of the transformation.

The library is Cushing Terrell’s first Design for Freedom Pilot Project. Construction is expected to be completed by summer of 2024.
