What is new in ACI 301-20
 
The American Concrete Institute (ACI) published ACI 301-20, Specifications for Concrete Construction, in October 2020. This standard specification establishes criteria for concrete construction that can be incorporated by reference into contract documents. ACI 301 is written to the contractor. When an architect or engineer (A/E) cites ACI 301, the document is intended to be adopted in its entirety into the contract documents.

California church revitalizes roof with metal shingles
 
When the old asbestos shingles began to fail on the Cornerstone Bible Church in Glendora, California, a diamond-shaped flat shingle was chosen as a replacement to create a unique roof look. The shape of the .032 aluminum panels, which resembled the original shingles in appearance, was an important factor in their choice of a replacement roofing material.

ANIMAL LIFE SAFETY IN AQUARIUMS CSI NUMBER/NAME
I ran into an issue trying to find out the CSI Section number for Animal Life Safety Systems in Aquariums. Has anyone else found an appropriate CSI number? They want to use section 240000 Life Support Safety Systems :facepalm: and I figured that others here could have a better solution. “This specification is an outline specification for all systems, piping, equipment, and appurtenances indicated on the life support system drawings.” is what the section summary is.
