The Bahamas will soon be home to North America’s largest superyacht marina and luxury residential community.
The design of the yacht club, nightclub, and casino is part of the Habacoa marina development and will be undertaken by Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA).

The yacht club will be a 2,322 m2 (25,000 sf) facility with a unique roof that evokes the movement of waves. Integrating sustainable design features to maximize natural ventilation and daylight, while reducing energy consumption, the club will be surrounded by gardens and will contain a members’ restaurant and bar, open-air terraces, and a hub for curated events and programming.
The nightclub and casino will be complete with a private 464 m2 (5,000 sf) gaming floor and have roof lines that are distinctly different from the Yacht Club.
Each building will integrate sustainable technologies, harness renewable energy sources, and use environmentally responsible materials. Additionally, renewable energy generation and storage technologies will contribute to meeting Habacoa’s energy requirements.
The masterplan also incorporates rainwater harvesting infrastructure for potable water supplies while wastewater recycling in a centralized plant will be used for other needs.
The project is set to be completed by 2027.
