Architecture Plus Information (A+I) has unveiled the redesigned space for Le Truc, a creative collective within Publicis Groupe, a global marketing organization. The 2,787-m2 (30,000-sf) space in New York represents a departure from traditional workspaces.
The space embraces a collaborative “clubhouse” model for creative talent across Publicis Groupe.
Peter Knutson, A+I’s chief strategy officer, focused on understanding the creative process and tailored the space to accommodate Publicis and Le Truc’s unique approach to creativity. The result was a dynamic environment featuring diverse workspaces, fewer fixed workstations, and more flexible collaboration areas.
The new Le Truc headquarters fosters collaboration among creative talents from various parts of Publicis Groupe, transcending traditional silos. It breaks away from demarcations by agency, department, or client. The space includes bullpens, auditoriums, libraries, nooks, niches, and flexible lounges to encourage organic interactions.
Each space caters to diverse work styles, enabling individuals to find environments that resonate with their creativity. The floor layout prioritizes brainstorming and idea refinement, promoting collaboration irrespective of agency, client, or campaign. Whether it is a pink tech-less enclosed meeting space hidden behind a mirrored door, a dark and moody open nook, or work counter sunken into the floor, everyone can find a place that works for them in that moment and sparks their creativity. It offers a range of sensorial experiences that gives people the choice of retreating to a quiet and calm state, or at the opposite end, a high energy and dynamic environment. The headquarters also features a state-of-the-art production facility and an in-house studio, supporting both virtual and on-site campaigns.
The design emphasizes spontaneity, flexibility, and autonomy for Le Truc’s creatives, and acts as a central hub for creative culture within Publicis Groupe, redefining how and where creative work takes place.
