A new $18 million six-story mixed-use structure that includes a parking lot and 1,072-m2 (11,5400-sf) of retail space was recently completed by California-based builder C.W. Driver Companies.

The 12,300-m2 (132,400-sf) building services the busiest border crossing in the nation. It offers 349 parking spaces and includes six zero-emissions parking spots for charging electric and hybrid vehicles.

The Type-I concrete and steel structure includes sustainable features, such as a 75-panel, 25kW solar array on the roof to harvest solar power.

C.W. Driver Companies collaborated with Sillman Architects on the structure.
