Subject matter experts with knowledge to share are being invited to present at CONSTRUCT 2019. Building scientists, researchers, architects, specifiers, contractors, and code experts may submit applications to present via online form anytime before January 25.

Presenters should be experienced professionals with strong technical knowledge and speaking skills. They may apply to participate in panel discussions, run 30- to 120-minute sessions, or lead two- or four-hour practical workshops.

“Our goal for 2019 is to provide unique and engaging educational experiences utilizing a combination of learning formats, from case histories and panel discussions to small group discussions and hands-on learning,” said Jennifer Hughes, the show’s senior education manager. “Additionally, our participants are hungry for intermediate- to expert-level content they can’t get anywhere else.”

Sessions can focus on technical, design, business, project management, or legal aspects of the industry and may cover topics including, but not limited to:

  • design and construction;
  • emerging trends;
  • innovative projects;
  • building science;
  • technology;
  • preservation; and
  • resilience.

Whatever the subject matter, presentations must incorporate up-to-date, practical details and immediately employable solutions. Promotion of products or services is not permitted.

“We encourage dynamic professionals from all areas of the industry who can offer solution-based content to submit a proposal,” said Hughes.

This year’s event will be held at National Harbor, Maryland’s Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center from October 9 to 11.
