The Chicago Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA) is hosting Roofing and Waterproofing: Get Your Facts Straight—its trade show and seminar event in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

The two-day event will take place in January and feature industry speakers, researchers, and manufacturers to help design, specify, purchase, or install roofing or waterproofing products. It attracts contractors, consultants, architects, manufacturers, specifiers, building owners and managers, and code officials to expand their knowledge in technology, safety, products, and services.

Seminars on cold-weather applications, steep slope ventilation, design liability, and code changes are free to attend. There will also be a breakfast panel free to specifiers, building owners and managers, and building code officials on Jan. 21, featuring:

  • André Desjarlais, team leader of the Building Envelope Group at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNC);
  • Matt Dupuis, senior engineer for Structural Research Inc.;
  • Peter Kalinger, technical director of the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA); and
  • Stephen Phillips, senior partner at law firm Hendrick, Phillips, Schemm and Salzman.
