The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) recently opened the final section of their $2.5B Harvey Milk Terminal 1.

The fourth and final phase of the 83,612 m2 (900,000 sf) includes a new north check-in lobby, a new mezzanine security checkpoint, two additional aircraft gates, four new concessions, and a new connecting walkway that links all SFO terminals after security.

Rosedin, the electrical contractor on the project undertook the designing, constructing, integrating, and commissioning of several key technology systems to modernize the terminal.

SFO is the first airport terminal in the world to achieve FitWel certification—a building rating system that provides guidelines on how to design and operate healthier buildings. It is also the first airport to earn LEED Platinum Certification.
