Sound Seal, a manufacturer of noise control and sound quality products, has been acquired by the Stephens Group, a private investment firm.

With this change, Sound Seal remains an independent company owned by key members of the management team and its primary investor, the Stephens Group.

“The team at Sound Seal could not be more excited to move forward with the Stephens Group,” said Joe Lupone, CEO of Sound Seal. “The Stephens Group provides Sound Seal with much more than just capital. Their approach to enabling organic and acquisitive growth will help us achieve our strategic vision and build long-term value without the timeline constraints of a traditional private equity investor.”

The current management team at Sound Seal will remain in place with this transition.

“We are very excited to add Sound Seal to our portfolio of world-class companies,” said Clay Hunter, managing director of the Stephens Group. “Sound Seal is a leader in their industry with a strong and experienced management team in place. We are excited to be partnering with them to accelerate their growth strategy and look forward to building an enduring relationship with the Sound Seal employees and their customers.”
