Cooper Robertson tapped to master plan Georgia university

Cooper Robertson has been selected to develop the next phase of a master plan for Georgia State University (GSU). The work will help reshape and enhance the main downtown Atlanta campus, as well as five satellite campuses throughout the state. This is part of a medium- and long-term strategic plan underway at the public university that anticipates expanding to 60,000 students within the next decade.

Hand-seamed roof elevates library’s aesthetics

When officials in Lilburn, Ga., planned the new double-duty library and city hall building, the vision called for interior spaces providing easy access and circulation within the structure, with a shared lobby space on the first and second floor. On the exterior, the design called for steep-slope roof elements that would draw attention to certain building functions and entry locations, and metal roof panels to accentuate these spaces.
