The Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine at Texas Christian University recently inaugurated Arnold Hall, an 8,825 m2 (95,000 sf), four-story medical education building.

The building has technologically advanced learning spaces. Two classrooms are separated by a retractable skyfold wall in the middle, doubling as a whiteboard.

The retractable wall can open the space into one large classroom accommodating up to 120 students. The walls in the learning studio are projection walls coated with special paint that allows a projector to display images.

A monumental floating staircase begins in the forum area of the first floor and spirals up four floors, wrapped in glass, with scenic views of Downtown Fort Worth’s skyline.

The project team—which included the architects CO Architects and Hoefer Welker, and the general contractor Linbeck—collaborated with the city of Fort Worth to select and establish the location near urban medical districts

This innovative medical education building features cutting-edge technology and education spaces to train the next generation of physicians.
