The changing role of specifiers: Nithya Caleb interviews editorial advisor Ivette Bruns

Earlier this year, Nithya Caleb, the editor of The Construction Specifier, sat down with the magazine’s editorial advisor Ivette Bruns, CSI, CCS, senior associate with RATIO Architects, on the sidelines of CONSTRUCT, an AEC education program and expo. Here is an extract from the conversation, where Ivette explains how the specifier is now viewed as a technical resource person with the ability to provide assistance on building material selection rather than the compiler of project specs.
