The Aluminum Association has released the 2015 Aluminum Design Manual—the 10th edition of the resource for structural application professionals. Referenced in the 2015 International Building Code (IBC), the guide provides important compliance information for engineers and construction professionals designing buildings and other load-bearing structures with aluminum. The manual is separated into various sections, and updated information includes material specifications, cast alloy strengths, testing and quality control/assurance (QC/QA). More than 30 illustrative structural design examples based on aluminum structure specifications are also included. The manual is available in digital and hard copy at www.aluminum.org[1].
