Winners of the RCI 2016 Document Competition were recognized at the annual luncheon during the 31st RCI International convention and trade show in Orlando last month.
The initiative honors members’ excellence in roofing, waterproofing, and exterior wall construction project documentation. First-place winners receive a plaque and $1000 to spend on the association’s resources or web store.
Douglas Arena took the top spot twice, winning the excellence in report writing category for his entry on Cazenovia College’s Jephson Campus (Cazenovia, New York), as well as the excellence in large roofing/waterproofing/exterior wall project documents category for construction valued at more than $1 million for Colgate University’s James C. Colgate student union (Hamilton, New York). Edward Bradley won the excellence in small roofing/waterproofing/exterior wall project documents category for construction valued at less than $1 million for Gas City (Indiana) Historical Housing.
The winning entries will be featured in the July issue of Interface, RCI’s monthly technical journal.
